B-CU

Valerie Barry

B-CU student Valerie Barry has been offered a position with the Summer Mission Intern program of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.

This will be an exciting summer for Barry while she ministers children and learns from great leaders.

Summer Mission Interns serve in a variety of outreach ministry settings throughout Florida, with a focus being on community day camps and United Methodist district outreach agencies.

Barry, a native of St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, is a freshman who is studying hospitality management in the B-CU School of Business and volunteers in the B-CU Office of Religious Life.

"We are incredibly proud of Valerie for being accepted into this special internship program," said Rev. Walter E. Monroe, Jr., who serves as university chaplain. "This will be an amazing opportunity for her -- both educationally and spiritually."
