About the Michael & Libby Johnson Center for Civic Engagement

The Michael & Libby Johnson Center for Civic Engagement at Bethune-Cookman University continues a rich legacy entrusted to the institution by its founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune.  Through acts of civic engagement and education for social change, Dr. Bethune is internationally known as an icon who helped to democratize American society.   The Michael & Libby Johnson Center for Civic Engagement houses the University’s Athletics Administrative and Student Support Offices, Bookstore, Transportation Office and the Wildcat Student Center.  The Center for Civic Engagement and Bethune-Cookman University continues to build on this legacy and at the same time build on a vision for the 21st century by offering:

A contract must be completed in order to book requested date(s).  Registration forms and a deposit (if applicable) must be received within 48 hours of request/approval.  In addition, balance must be paid in full seven days prior to the event. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

CANCELLATION FEE POLICY:

An administrative fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any cancellation. For cost, rental information and facility availability,  please contact:

Thought leader, author and noted economist Julianne Malveaux will be the keynote speaker at the Bethune-Cookman University spring commencement. The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 14 in the Ocean Center.
