About Parent/Family Weekend

Parent/Family Weekend is an exciting event in which Bethune-Cookman University welcome our new and returning Wildcat families back to campus to connect with students, faculty and staff for a fun and relaxing weekend. We've included campus tours, open houses, family competitions and other great events.

As registered Family Weekend guests you and your family will get to experience all that B-CU has to offer. Don't miss this weekend opportunity to share in the Bethune-Cookman University experience with your favorite Wildcat!

As we celebrate the start of semester, we invite you to Daytona Beach to see your student and participate in a number of activities. This is an especially unique time to visit your student and the university community because of all of the great things happening. Our goal is to:

  • Enhance communication between parents, families, and B-CU
  • Enrich the college experience for both parents, families and their students
  • Involve parents and their families in activities to promote B-CU

We realize how important a smooth transition is not only for the students, but for the parents as well.  Your student’s progression through his or her college career is a major milestone for both you and your student, and the transition will likely affect the family as a whole.

Throughout the college years, we are here to communicate, educate, and support B-CU families along the way.  While you may not be able to join us on campus every day, you are vital members of our campus community and critical to student success.
