Blackboard is separated into 2 sections, each to be delivered in a three-hour period of time. As a comprehensive training, it covers the technical basics of designing and instructing using B-CU's Bb learning management system and addresses related policy matters associated with the distance learning course administrative lifecycle. Instructors who teach undergraduate Blackboard courses are required to complete the training.

Blackboard Refresher Training is intended for Blackboard instructors to brush their memory on the use of various tools of Blackboard. A successful completion of Blackboard Certification Training is a prerequisite.

Bb Effective Communication focuses on communication in the Online/Hybrid Courses.

Bb Course Design focuses on the design, appearance and useability of the Bb Course.  It is a small group training where instructors are able to bring their ideas into an online format with the help of the trainers.

Lockdown Browser is a customized browser that provides security for online assessments (quizzes, tests, etc.) in Blackboard. When instructors use Lockdown Browser to electronically proctor assessments, it ensures that rigorous academic standards are maintained by helping to prevent academic dishonesty.  Lockdown Browser does this by blocking access to all other programs on a computer and disabling common copy and print functions during test-taking.

StudyMate is an authoring tool that lets instructors create 10 Flash-based activities and games using four simple templates that can be easily integrated into Blackboard courses.

Turnitin’s plagiarism prevention system lets instructors check the honesty of students’ written work automatically, through Blackboard, by comparing students’ work against a database of billions of pages. This training usually takes one hour of seat time.

The goal of Acalog is to centralize administration and public use of all your academic catalogs via a straightforward web based interface.

MicroGrade is more than a grading program. It is an essential software tool for educators at any grade level.
