Membership Intake Requirements

GREEK LIFE MEMBERSHIP INTAKE SEMINAR (Effective November 2012)
All students planning to join a fraternity or sorority at Bethune-Cookman University must attend a MANDATORY Greek Life Intake Seminar.  The seminars will be held throughout the semester.  Attendance is only required once.  No student who has not attended a seminar will be allowed to participate in Membership Intake.

National PanHellenic Council (NPHC)

• GPA:  2.7 or above
• Credit Hours:  28 Credit Hours (Minimum)
• At least 12 semester hours which equals FULL TIME STATUS at time of Membership Intake
• 2nd Semester Freshman:  Completed 15 hours / GPA: 3.0 or better
• No current disciplinary actions
• TRANSFER STUDENTS must have completed at least one semester (FULL TIME) at Bethune-Cookman University

Special Requirements -- PLEASE NOTE

• Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. - Must have completed 36 credit hours to participate in Membership Intake
• Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - 2.75 GPA requirement
• Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - 2.7 Cumulative GPA and 2.7 GPA for previous semester prior to membership Intake

Service and Professional Advisory Council (SPOAC)

• GPA: 2.65 or above
• Credit Hours:  12 Credit Hours (Minimum)
• At least 12 semester hours which equals FULL TIME STATUS at time of Membership Intake
• No current disciplinary actions
• TRANSFER STUDENTS must have completed at least one semester (FULL TIME) at Bethune-Cookman University

Non B-CU Students (ERAU, DSC, Stetson) must seek prior approval from Dean of Students/VP Student Affairs at their respective institution prior to approval for particpation at Bethune-Cookman University.
