Simply the Best
The Teacher Education Program has had continuous accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Educators (NCATE) since the mid 1980s and currently has eight programs approved by the Department of Education. The program has earned praise for the high rate at which its graduates pass state examinations required for teacher certification. We are proud that many of our graduates have been nominated for prestigious Teacher of the Year Awards at various school districts.

Enrolled Students
The School of Education offers its students a variety of aids to help ensure successful completion of the student’s program. This support includes practice tests prior to completion of the general knowledge (GK) exams, professional education exam and the subject area exam.

A Career Fair is held in the spring and includes personnel from several school districts in Florida and the southeastern United States. Prospective candidates have an opportunity to interview with hiring managers.

Each fall and spring, a reception is held for student interns, attended by School of Education faculty and staff as well as administrators and cooperating teachers from participating schools.
