Master of Science in Counseling Psychology

MS Counseling Psychology

MSCP is designed to provide students with the ability to understand and combine information from multiple counseling perspectives and to utilize the methods developed for integrated treatment approaches. The course curriculum meets the Florida Department of Health regulations through the Division of Medical Quality Assurance and the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.

Entrance Criteria

  • Application for Admission
  • $50.00 application fee
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Entrance Interview
  • 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA
  •  Combined GRE score of 1000

 

Program Format

  • Traditional classes
  • 2 classes (6 credits) each semester
  • 8 week terms
  • 2 tracks- Clinical Mental Health (60 credit hours) or Social Services Counseling (36 credit hours)

B-CU Students Protest Shooting in Ferguson, Mo.

Approximately 300 Bethune-Cookman University students held their hands up to protest the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. The students had gathered for an information session on Greek life at B-CU. The protest was organized by senior Reuben Rifin, of Naples, Fla.
