As Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, I am delighted to welcome you to the School's web site. We hope that our site will provide the information you are seeking. The School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) offers master’s degrees in Transformative Leadership (MSTL) and Integrated Environmental Science (MSIES), and offers bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration (ABAD), Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, and Sociology. In addition the SGPS programs offer an undergraduate certificate program in Gerontology (12 credits), a graduate certificate program in Organizational Leadership (12 credits), an undergraduate minor in Organizational Leadership (19 credits), an undergraduate minor in Environmental Justice (18 credits – see IES Department), and two areas of emphasis within the MSTL program in Environmental Science (12 credits) and Environmental Justice (12 credits). For non-degree status students and B-CU graduating seniors, we offer a range of graduate elective courses.
The faculty is highly attuned to meeting the needs of diverse students, to providing individualized attention, and to ensuring that each student experiences a quality educational experience that will enhance career and life. Instruction is on-line, face to face, and can be tailored in its delivery to meet the needs of students individually and in group. School programs and courses are grounded in practice and application, so that learning is useful for students' present and future career pursuits. In addition, the curriculum and activities are well conceived, rigorous, and challenging, offering students the opportunity for a transformative educational experience that will, we believe, help them enjoy fuller, more meaningful lives and contribute more powerfully to their organizations and to society.
